اکثر aks̤ar A adj. compar. (of کثیر) Most, very much, many, much, frequent; adv. Generally, for the most part, usually, frequently, mostly, chiefly, often. اکثراوقات aks̤ar auḳāt, At most times, generally, frequently.

احتساب iḥtisāb A (inf. viii. of حسب Heb. and Ch. He thought, computed) s. m. 1. Ma- king up accounts, estimating. 2. Superinten- dence of police: prohibition.

اقرار iḳrār A (inf. iv. of قرار) s. m. Confession, avowal, affirmation, confirmation, assurance, promise, agreement, attestation, allegation, assertion. اقرار کرنا iḳrār karnā, To promise, confess, acknowledge, avow, assure, affirm, agree, allege, assert, aver, declare. اقرار نامه iḳrār-nāma, s. m. Written agreement, bond, contract, indenture, &c.

اشٿدهات ash̤ṭa-dhāt S (अष्ट Eight, and धातु Metal) s. m. The eight metals, said to be gold, silver, copper, brass, tin, bell-metal, lead, and iron.

اٿهلانا iṭhlānā H v. a. To walk affectedly or coquettishly, to express tenderness or kindness by gesture.

ابهیاس अभ्यास abhyās S s. m. Practice, ex- ercise, study, the frequent repetition of a thing in order to fix it on the mind. S. ابهید अभेद (or for अभेद्य) a-bhed, adj. 1. In- divisible, inseparable, impenetrable. 2. Known, publick.

استغنا istig̠ẖnā A (inf. x. of غنا) s. m. Content, independence (in point of fortune). ¶ adj. In- dependent, contented.

اپارجت उपार्जित upārjit S adj. Acquired.

اساتهہ a-sāth S̱. (असार्थ Without society, i. e. good society) adj. Addicted to bad company.
