ترکيب tarkīb A (inf. ii. of رکب) s. f. Composi- tion, mixture, cement, make, form, fashion, me- chanism. ترکيب بند tarkīb-band, A kind of poem. ترکيب دار tarkīb-dār, Well-formed. ترکيب کرنا tarkīb karnā, To organize. (Plur. ترکيبات tarkībāt, Mixtures, compositions).

تعاليٰ taʼāﻌlạ̄ A (from علو) adj. Most high. تعاليٰ الله taāﻌlạ-llāh, The most high God.

تهامنا thāmnā S̱. (स्तंभन) v. a. 1. To support, to prop. 2. To shield, protect, keep, retain, maintain, to shelter. 3. To prevent, withhold, restrain, calm. 4. To stop, to pull up (a horse), to bear, assist, resist.

تقصير taḳṣīr A (inf. ii. of قصر or قصور) s. f. Fault, errour, crime, offence. (Plur. تقصيرات taḳṣīrāt). تقصيروار taḳṣīr-wār, Blamable, faulty, criminal, guilty, convict, culpable.

تڙپ taṛap H (from تڙپنا) s. f. Haste, hurry, out- rageousness, explosion, fury, leap, jump.

تون tūn S s. m. 1. (तूण) A quiver. 2. (तुन्न) Name of a tree. (Cedrela toona).

توام tauʼam A s. m. A twin.

تهوک thūk H s. m. Spittle. تهوک چاٿنا thūk chāṭnā, To break oneʼs promise. تهوک دينا thūk denā, To leave, to give up. تهوک لگاکرچهوڙنا thūk lagākar chhoṛnā, To treat with sovereign contempt. تهوک لگانا thūk lagānā, To apply spittle. (A term of abuse and of most indecent meaning).

تعاقب taʼāﻌḳub A (inf. vi. of عقب) s. m. 1. Pur- suit. 2. Persecuting. 3. Alternate succession, following.
