تعميه taﻌmiya A (inf. ii. of عمي) s. m. 1. Act of rendering blind. 2. Concealing the meaning of a sentence or discourse. (Generally applied to a chronogram after the manner of abjad, when the clause, which should give the date, fails in accuracy, and the excess or defect is obscurely indicated by another word.
