تصرف taṣarruf A (inf. v. of صرف) s. m. 1. Posses- sion, use, sway. 2. Expenditure, disposal, em- bezzlement, extravagance. تصرف کرنا or تصرف مين لانا taṣarruf karnā, or taṣarruf meṅ lānā, To take or get possession of, to apply to oneʼs own purpose, embezzle, occupy. Plur. تصرفات taṣarrufāt (in general acceptation for) The sum total of expenses.

توا tawā P. (تاوه or تابه) s. m. 1. The iron plate on which bread is baked. 2. The part of a ḥuḳḳa to which the tobacco is fixed, or the tobacco it- self. 3. An iron mirror. ¶ tauwā (dakh.) See تابه tāba. توي پوکي کهلي هونا tauwe po kī khillī honā (dakh.) To be unsettled or agitated.

تنزل tanazzul A (inf. v. of نزل) s. m. Descent, declining slowly, diminution; condescending. تنزل کرنا tanazzul karnā, To descend.

ترنج turunj A s. m. A citron. P. ترنجبين or ترنگبين taranjubīn or tarangubīn, s. m. 1. Manna (produced from the Hedysarum alhagi). 2. (by this name some call) Honey mixed with lime-juice, &c.

تانڐو तांडव tānḍav S s. m. Dancing, especially with violent gesticulation. (Particularly applied to the frantick dance of the god Siva and his votaries).

تومان tomān P s. m. 1. A myriad, 10,000. 2. A sum of money equal to 10,000 Arabic silver drachmas (which are about one third less than those of the Greeks): also, a sum equal to fifteen dollars and a half. 3. Districts, into which a kingdom is divided, each being sup- posed to furnish 10,000 fighting men. تند tund P adj. Active, quick, rapid, swift, fast, hot, spirited, fierce, furious, sharp, severe, acrid, acrimonious. تندخو tund-ḵẖo, adj. Irascible, of a fiery disposition, furious, passionate, fretful. تندخوٴي tund-ḵẖo-ī, s. f. Passionateness, pee- vishness, aptitude to unseasonable and excessive anger. تندرفتار tund-raftār, adj. Fast-going. تندزبان tund-zabān, adj. Eloquent, talking ra- pidly. تندمزاج tund-mizāj, adj. Hotheaded, passionate. تندهونا tund honā, To be angry, to be displeased.

ترکهاونت tr̤ikh̤ā-want S (from ترکها) adj. Thirsty.

تتر بتر titar bitar H or tittar bittar, adj. Dispersed.

تخته taḵẖta P s. m. 1. A plank, a board; deck (of a ship). 2. A stool, bench. 3. A bier. 4. A sheet of paper. 5. A bed of flowers, &c. تخته بندي taḵẖta-bandī, s. f. Wainscot, boarding. تخته بندي کرنا taḵẖta-bandī karnā, To board, to plank, floor with boards. تخته گردن taḵẖta-gardan, adj. Thick, broad and straight necked (a horse). تخته نرد taḵẖta-nard, s. m. Backgammon.
