تکلا taklā तर्कु S̱. s. m. A spindle. See تکوا and ٿکوا.

تاڙن tāṛan S (ताडन) (r. तड Beat) s. m. Punishment, admo- nition, reproof, penalty. تاڙناکرنا tāṛnā karnā, To reprove, punish, chastise.

تمکين tamkīn A (inf. ii. of مکن) s. f. Majesty, dignity, authority, power.

تان तान tān S s. f. 1. A tune, the key note in musick. تان توڙنا tān toṛnā, To crack a joke, to drop a word which shall excite quarrelling or induce conversation, to animadvert: to strike up a tune. 2. (from تاننا) Stretching, tension, knit- ting (eyebrows).

تنسل tanassul A (inf. v. of نسل) s. m. Pedigree.

تشديد tashdīd A (inf. ii. of شدّ) s. f. 1. Conso- lidating, corroboration. 2. Putting the ortho- graphical mark tashdīd (ّ) over letters, which denotes that they should be pronounced double. 3. The name of the character itself.

تهرانا tharrānā H v. n. To tremble, to quiver.

تدهان tadhāṅ तदा S̱. adv. Then, that time.

تيکهر tīkhur H s. f. A starchy substance obtained from the root of the Curcuma angustifolia.

ترترانا tirtirānā H v. n. To trickle, to drop.
