تنگناٴي tang-nāʼī P s. f. A strait place or passage, a strait.

تلنگا tilangā तैलंग S̱. s. m. 1. An inhabitant of Tailang, in which the first soldiers were clothed and disciplined in the European man- ner; (hence) 2. A soldier.

تکوا takūʼā S̱. s. m. A spindle. See تکلا taklā.

تسوت tisūt H (perhaps نسوت nisūt) s. Name of a medicine. See تربد turbad.

تبر tabar P s. m. A hatchet, an axe. تبربردار tabar-bardār, An axe-bearer, a wood-cutter. تبرزن tabar-zan, A wood-cutter, a hatchet-man.

تياگي त्यागी tyāg-ī S s. m. Abandoner, relin- quisher, forsaker, abdicator; but chiefly applied to the religious ascetick or him who abandons terrestrial objects, thoughts, passions, &c.

تحويل taḥwīl A (inf. ii. of حول) s. f. 1. Change, transfer, renovation, return. 2. Passing of the Sun, Moon, or a planet from one sign to ano- ther. 3. Trusts, charges, cash; (in) the charge. (Plur. تحويلات taḥwīlāt). A.P. تحويلدار taḥwīl-dār, s. m. A cash-keeper, a treasurer. A.P. تحويلداري taḥwīl-dār-ī, s. f. The office of cash-keeper.

تصرف taṣarruf A (inf. v. of صرف) s. m. 1. Posses- sion, use, sway. 2. Expenditure, disposal, em- bezzlement, extravagance. تصرف کرنا or تصرف مين لانا taṣarruf karnā, or taṣarruf meṅ lānā, To take or get possession of, to apply to oneʼs own purpose, embezzle, occupy. Plur. تصرفات taṣarrufāt (in general acceptation for) The sum total of expenses.

تدهين tadʼhīn A (inf. ii. of دهن) s. Anointing.

تکهارنا tikhārnā S̱. (तर्क्क Reasoning, or r. तर्क Investigate, make clear) v. a. 1. To confirm, to prove, to establish by argument. 2. To in- quire earnestly. 3. To trifallow.
