تهرتهرانا thartharānā H v. n. To tremble, to qui- ver, to shiver, shake, quake, vibrate.

تپ tap P s. f. A fever. تپ اترنا tap utarnā, To go off (a fever). تپ چڙهنا tap chaṛhnā, To come on (a fever). تپ دق tap-i-diḳḳ, s. f. A hectick fever. تپ غب tap-i-g̠ẖibb, s. f. A tertian fever. تپ کا موت جانا tap kā mūt jānā, The breaking out of an eruption on the lips after a fever. تپ لرزه tap-i-larza, s. m. An ague. تپ محرق tap-i-muḥriḳ, s. m. تمال तमाल tamāl S s. m. Name of a tree noted for the dark hue of its blossoms. (Xanthocy- mus pictorius).

تپاس tapās S̱. (r. तप Shine, burn) s. f. 1. Sun- shine, the sunbeams. 2. Toil, labour.

تعزيه taﻌziya A (from عزي) s. m. 1. See تعزيت taﻌziyat. 2. It is become the name of the re- presentation of the tomb of Hasan and Husain, which is thrown into the river at the anniver- sary of the muḥarram. تعزيه خانه taﻌziya-ḵẖāna, s. m. The place of taﻌziya. تعزيه دار يا گير taﻌziya-dār or -gīr, One who observes the mourning in muḥarram: and, تعزيه داري taﻌzi- ya-dār-ī, s. f. The observance of it. تعزيه لينا taﻌziya lenā, To observe the mourning during the muḥarram, to go into mourning.

تحير taḥaiyur A (inf. v. of حيرت) s. m. Amaze- ment, wonder, astonishment.

تعينات taʼaﻌiyunāt A s. plur. (of تعين taʼaﻌiyun) Appointments.

تپسي tapsī S̱. or tapasī or tapassī (तपस्वी) s.m. A devotee, a performer of austere devotion, an ascetick. 2. adj. Devout, practising austere de- votion. تپسي مچهلي tapassī machhlī, s. f. The mango-fish. (Polynemus paradisea).

تگ دو tag-dau P s. f. Fatigue, running about on business or in search of employment, great exertion.
