پنڐي pinḍī S. (पिंड A lump) s. f. 1. The upper part of a Siva-ling. 2. A lump of any thing that may be contained in the fist. 3. A small clue or ball of string. 4. A small altar of sand a cubit square, on which oblations to the manes are offered.

پدوي पदवी padvī S or padawī, s. f. Road, path, title, dignity. See پدبي padbī.

پادنا pādnā पर्द्दन S. v. n. To fart.

پيٿنا pīṭnā पीडन S̱. v. a. To beat, to thrash, to dash, to strike, to knock, to pound.

پيسا paisā H s. m. 1. The name of a copper coin. 2. Money, cash. پيسااڙانا paisā uṛānā, 1. To spend extravagantly. 2. To take the money of another by theft or deceit. پيساپهيرپهارکرنا paisā pher phār karnā, To turn the penny. پيساڐبونا paisā ḍubonā, To sink money, to lay out money without return. پيساڐوبنا paisā ḍūb-

پچکانا pichkānā H (trans. of پچکنا) v. a. To squeeze, to press together, to shrivel, to wrin- kle, to burst.

پهرتي phirtī H (from پهرنا) part. f. or s. f. Returning, return, homeward-bound. پهرتي کابهاڙا phir- tī kā bhāṛā, The hire of a return boat, car- riage, &c.

پنچون panchoṅ S̱. (from पंच Five) s. Associates, friends.

پلٿانا palṭānā H (trans. of پلٿنا) v. a. To turn, cause to turn, return, convert, repel. H.S̱. پلٿاکهانا palṭā khānā, v. a. 1. To turn over head and heels. 2. To overturn, to be tilted. 3. To rebound.

پاکهنڐ पाषंड pākh̤anḍ S or pāsh̤anḍ, adj. Hypocritical, deceitful, heretical.
