پيشوا peshwā P s. m. 1. A leader, a guide, fore- man. 2. A title of the Mahārātta minister. پيشوالينا peshwā lenā, To meet and to receive (a friend or visitant).

پهدکنا phudaknā H v. n. To jump, to leap, to hop (applied to small birds), to dance about in token of delight.

پنياٴي punyāʼī S̱. (from पुण्य) s. f. 1. A vir- tuous action, performed (according to those who hold the doctrine of the metempsychosis) in one state of existence, the reward of which is received in a future transmigration. 2. Merit of an ancestor rewarded in his descendants.

پرهاري prahārī S (from پرهار) s. m. A striker, smiter, destroyer, debaser, humbler.

پورا pūrā पूर्ण S̱. adj. Full, complete, entire, ex- act, perfect, sufficient, just, total, ripe, power- ful. پوراکرنا pūrā karnā, v. a. To fill, to fulfil, to accomplish, to complete; to reimburse.

پيا piyā H (पिय same as پڙا) Fell, fallen.

پليو paleʼo H s. m. 1. Soup. 2. Pounded rice or flour put into soup to thicken it.

پوٿا poṭā H s. m. 1. An unfledged bird. 2. The eyelid. 3. The crop or craw (of birds). 4. Stomach. 5. The mucus of the nose, snot.

پچهاڙ pachhāṛ H (from پچهاڙنا) s. f. 1. A fall or throwing down. 2. The act of winnowing. پچهاڙکهانا pachhāṛ khānā, To fall down, to suf- fer pain.
