پرتاپوان प्रतापवान् pratāp-wān S adj. Glori- ous, potent.

پلـﮩنڐي palihṅḍī H s. f. A shelf upon which water pots are placed, a place where water is kept.

پيراو pairāʼo H (from پيرنا applied to water) adj. Beyond manʼs depth, where it is necessary to swim. (Sans. प्लाव्य).

پهول phūl फुल्ल S̱. s. m. 1. A flower, a blossom; boss, stud, bunch of ribands, &c. a cockade. 2. The menses, of which children are the fruit. 3. A swelling. 4. پيبياهٿ pībiyāhaṭ S̱. (from پيب) s. f. Suppura- tion.

پاؤن pāʼoṅ S̱. Same as پانو pāṅw, q. v. or the plur. inflection (for پانوون). پاؤن پرتيشه مارلينا pāʼoṅ par tesha mār lenā, Of oneʼs self to spoil oneʼs own affair. پاؤن دهول pāʼoṅ dhūl, Misfortune: see آسيب āseb. S. پاون पावन (r. पू Purify) pāwan, adj. Pure, holy, sacred, purifying.
