پلا pallā P s. m. One scale (or side of a pair of scales): see پله palla. پلاباندهنا pallā bāndhnā, To enter the lists against an enemy. پلي پرکسيکي آنا palle par kisī ke ānā, To assist, to favour, to side with. پلي دار palle-dār, A por- ter who has bags to carry burthens. پلي داري palle-dār-ī, s. f. The business of a porter.

پٿها puṭṭhā H s. m. The buttock, the hip (of an animal).

پچکا pichukkā H s. m. A squirt.

پٿ paṭ पटत् S̱. s. m. The sound of falling or beating.

پهولنا phūlnā फुल्लन S̱. v. n. 1. To blossom, to blow, to flower. 2. To be pleased, to be in health and spirits, i. e. to bloom, to flourish. 3. To swell, to be inflated, to be puffed up (with pride, &c.).

پنڐتاٴي panḍitāʼī पांडित्य S̱. s. f. The learning of a Brāhman, learning. S. P. پنڐت خانه panḍit-ḵẖāna (for بندي خانه) s. m. A prison, gaol.

پٿکن paṭkan H (see پٿکنا) s. f. A knock, a fall. پٿکن کهانا paṭkan khānā, To fall down.

پهنسي phunsī H s. f. A pimple.

پگهيا paghaiyā H s. m. A trader in cloth, iron, &c.

پند pand P s. m. Advice, admonition, counsel. پندگو pand-go, Adviser, monitor.
