پگا pagā H s. m. A rope fastened round the neck of a bullock, a tether.

پهاوڙي phāʼoṛī H s. f. 1. A crutch on which a jogī leans. 2. A piece of wood or staff with a support at each end, which is held in both hands and laid horizontally, in performing the exercise of ḍanḍ. 3. An instrument like a small rake or hoe for removing a horseʼs dung.

پنياٴي punyāʼī S̱. (from पुण्य) s. f. 1. A vir- tuous action, performed (according to those who hold the doctrine of the metempsychosis) in one state of existence, the reward of which is received in a future transmigration. 2. Merit of an ancestor rewarded in his descendants.

پهوڙا phoṛā S̱. (see پهوڙنا) s. m. A bile, sore, abscess, imposthume.

پرش पुरुष purush̤ S s. m. A man, generally or individually, a male, mankind.

پنڐا panḍā S̱. (perhaps, for पंडित) s. m. A minister who presides at the temple of an idol. S. P. پنڐارا pinḍārā (पिंड Lump of food, and آر Bringer) s. m. A plunderer, a pillager (among Mahārāttas).

پچهان pachhāṅ पश्चिम S̱. s. m. West.

پهنسوانا phaṅswānā S̱. (caus. of پهانسنا) v. a. To cause to noose, strangle, &c.

پشمي pashm-ī P adj. Woollen, hairy.

پهو پهو phūphū H s. m. f. Fatherʼs sisterʼs hus- band, or fatherʼs sister.
