پهينانا phainānā S̱. (from پهين) v. n. To foam, to froth.

په pa S̱. conj. adv. or postpos. (contraction of پر par, q. v.) But, yet, on, at, &c. ¶ pu (उपरि) postpos. On, &c. see پر.

پوتيا potiyā H s. m. 1. A cloth worn at the time of bathing. 2. The name of a plaything.

پاسباني pās-bān-ī P s. f. Watch, guard, guarding, the duty of a guard, protection, keeping.

پهونکارنا phūnkārnā फुत्कार S̱. v. n. To hiss (as a snake), to snort.

پين पीन pīn S adj. Heavy, fat, large.

پيت pīt S 1. adj. (पीत) Yellow. 2. s. f. or pīti (for प्रिति) Love, affection, kindness, friendship. پيت کي پيت رهي اورميت کاميت هاتهـ لگي pīt kī pīt rahe aur mīt kā mīt hāth lage, Let friendship continue and the sweets or benefits of it will be obtained.

پرگنه pargana P s. m. An inferiour division of a country (less than a ضلع ẓilﻌ) nearly equalling a barony. پرگنه دار pargana-dār, s. m. The su- periour officer of a pargana, lord of the barony.
