پيٿيا peṭiyā S̱. (from پيٿ) s. m. A pension, daily food, board.

پهانسنا phāṅsnā S̱. (from पाश) 1. v. a. To noose, to ensnare, to entrap, to throttle, to strangle, to choak. 2. v. n. To be impeded, to stick (as, in mud); to be perplexed.

پويه poya P s. m. A canter, or hand-gallop. پويون چلنا poyoṅ chalnā, v. n. To canter, &c.

پنيا punyā S̱. (पुण्याह A holiday) s. f. The com- mencement of collection for the new year. (Used by landholders).

پيکهنيا pekhniyā H s. m. A player, an actor.

پرگاه pargāh P s. Sticks and straw; a worthless thing.

پاٿهـ पाठ pāṭh S s. m. A reading, lecture, peru- sal (of a book), lesson.

پهونـﮩ‍ي phūṅhī H s. f. Small rain.

پروهن parohan S̱. (प्रारोहण from प्र, आ and r. रुह Mount) s. m. Carriage, vehicle, instruments of transportation.

پالکري pā-lakrī H s. f. Blocks of wood placed un- der the feet of a bed to raise it. (It is the cus- tom to have two such blocks ready to raise the head of a bed, to give it a sloping position).
