پٿهانا paṭhānā H or piṭhānā, v. a. To send.

پتهر patthar प्रस्तर S̱. s. m. A stone, stone. پتهربازي patthar-bāzī, s. f. Stone-throwing, playing with stones. پتهرپاني هوجانا patthar pānī ho jānā, 1. The melting of a stony heart. 2. A difficult task to be facilitated. پتهرپسيجنا patthar pasījnā, To be softened or melted (a stony heart). پتهرچهاتي پررکهنا patthar chhātī par rakhnā, To be patient by compulsion or from being without remedy. پتهرساپهينک مارنا patthar sā phenk mārnā, To reply rashly with- out understanding the meaning of oneʼs ques- tion. پتهرسي سرپهوڙنايامارنا patthar se sir phoṛnā or mārnā, To teach or instruct a fool.

(Sans. पृष्ठ The back). پشت به پشت pusht-ba-pusht, Generation by generation. پشت پا pusht-i-pā, s. f. The instep. پشت پانو pusht-pāṅw, s. m. The instep, an in- flammation or phlegmon on the upper surface of the foot. پشت قدم pusht-i-ḳadam, The top of the foot, the instep. پشت پرکسي کي رهنا pusht par kisī kī rahnā (lit. To back one) To support steadily. پشت پناه pusht-panāh, An ally, a supporter. پشت خم pusht-ḵẖam, adj. Hump- backed. پشت دست کسي پرمارناياپشت پامارنا pusht-i-dast kisī par mārnā or pusht-i-pā mārnā, To reject, to abandon. پشت دينا pusht denā (lit. To turn oneʼs back) To flee, run away, turn tail.

پاراين पारायण pārāyaṇ S s. m. The act of reading a Purāṇ continually, without expres- sing its meaning.

پساچني pisāch-nī S̱. s. f. A female پساچ pisāch.

پرکرما परिक्रमा परि and r. क्रम Go, step pari-kramā S. s. f. Act of going round to the right by way of adoration, circumambulation, going about. See طواف.
