پهندنا phandnā S̱. (see پهسنا) v. n. To be impri- soned.

پکڙوانا pakaṛwānā H (caus. of پکڙنا) v. a. To cause to seize.

پوکهن पोषण pokh̤aṇ S s. m. Breeding, rearing. See پوسنا posnā.

پهڙپهڙيا phaṛphaṛiyā H 1. s. m. A flutterer. 2. adj. Swift, quick.

پشٿتا पुष्टता push̤ṭ-tā S s. f. 1. Fatness. 2. In- vigoration, restorative power.

پتا pattā पत्र S̱. s. m. 1. A leaf. 2. A trinket. پتاهونا pattā honā, To run away, to flee.

پنچايت panchāyat पंचता S̱. s. f. A meeting of any particular society (generally, as a court of inquiry); a jury, an inquest.

پهاوڙي phāʼoṛī H s. f. 1. A crutch on which a jogī leans. 2. A piece of wood or staff with a support at each end, which is held in both hands and laid horizontally, in performing the exercise of ḍanḍ. 3. An instrument like a small rake or hoe for removing a horseʼs dung.

پت पित्त pitt S s. m. Bile, gall.

پهن फण phaṇ S s. m. The hood or expanded head of a snake. پهن اٿهانا phaṇ uṭhānā, v. a. To spread the hood (a snake).
