پکا pakkā पक्व S̱. adj. 1. Ripe, mature, matured. 2. Boiled, dressed (opposite to raw), cooked, baked (as bricks), made of brick. 3. Cunning, knowing, instructed, firm, strong, proved, expert. پکاکرنا pakkā karnā, To establish a claim, agree- ment, or proposition, so that no doubt or subject of dispute can remain.

پنيوان पुण्यवान् puṇyawān S adj. Meritorious, virtuous, righteous, charitable.

پرست parast P part. (in compos.) Adorer, wor- shipper; devoted to, attentive to; as, آتش پرست ātash-parast, A worshipper of fire; a guebre of the sect of Abraham, Zoroaster or the Magi. بت پرست but-parast, An idolater, worshipper of idols. خداپرست ḵẖudā-parast, A wor- shipper of God. خودپرست ḵẖụd-parast, A worshipper or admirer of self; self-conceited.

پهٿا phaṭā S̱. (from پهٿنا) s. m. A crack. پهٿي مين پانودينا phaṭe meṅ pāṅw denā, To interfere in any thing.

پوريا pauriyā S̱. (from پور paur, q. v.) s. m. A door-keeper, a porter.

پنکهڙي pankhṛī S̱. (from पक्ष A wing, a feather) s. f. A petal, a flower-leaf.

پنـﮩارن panhārin S̱. s. f. 1. (पानीयहारिणी) A woman who carries water on her head. 2. (पणहारिणी from पण Wager, promise, and r. हृ Take by force) A faithless person, a pro- mise-breaker.

پرا purā पुर S̱. s. m. A large village, a town, an assemblage of habitations.

پاوان pāwān S̱. s. m. plur. (from पाद) Feet.

پرس paras स्पर्श S̱. s. m. Touch.
