پرکهـ पुरुष purukh̤ S s. m. See پرش purush̤.

پٿراني paṭ-rānī S̱. (پاٿ A throne, and راني A queen) s. f. A queen who is installed or consecrated with the king.

پڙهنا paṛhnā पठन S̱. v. a. To read, repeat, say, decipher, speak. پڙهني والا pāṛhne-wālā, Reader.

پدنا padnā S̱. (from پاد or पर्द्द) adj. Having the quality of farting. (Met.) A coward.

پنجيارا pinjiyārā H (from پينجنا) s. m. One whose business it is to beat or separate cotton.

پربسي par-bas-ī S̱. s. f. The being subject to the will of another, dependance.

پروڙه प्रौढ prauṛh S adj. Able, clever.

پرور parwar P part. act. and pass. (from پروردن) used in compos. A patron, protector, nourisher, cherisher: educated, cherished. As, غريب پرور g̠ẖarīb-parwar, Cherisher of the poor. سايه پرور sāya-parwar, adj. Educated in the shade or at home; soft, delicate, knowing little of the world.
