پٿکا paṭkā पट्टि S̱. s. m. A cloth worn round the waist, a girdle. زري پٿکا zarī paṭkā, The golden girdle (an ensign conferred by the Pesh- wā on generals who are invested with authority immediately by him). پٿکاباندهنا paṭkā bāndh- nā, To determine on, or prepare for any act. پٿکاپکڙنا paṭkā pakaṛnā, To hinder, to obstruct. H.S̱. پٿکاجانا paṭkā jānā (from پٿکنا) v. n. To fall from oneʼs rank or estimation.

پنا pinnā पिण्याक S̱. s. m. A cake of mus- tard seed remaining after the expression of the oil, and given to cows, &c. for food.

پجرنا pajarnā H v. n. (dakh.) To drip: see ٿپکنا.

پيلنا pelnā पेलन S̱. v. a. 1. To shove, to push. 2. To stuff, to cram. 3. To express, to squeeze out. پيل پال pel-pāl, part. Shoving, pushing, &c.

پاداش pādāsh P s. m. Retaliation, recom- pense, retribution, reward, requital.

پلا pallā P s. m. One scale (or side of a pair of scales): see پله palla. پلاباندهنا pallā bāndhnā, To enter the lists against an enemy. پلي پرکسيکي آنا palle par kisī ke ānā, To assist, to favour, to side with. پلي دار palle-dār, A por- ter who has bags to carry burthens. پلي داري palle-dār-ī, s. f. The business of a porter.

پهڙکانا phaṛkānā H (caus. of پهڙکنا) v. a. 1. To cause to flutter, to cause convulsive motion in the muscles, &c. 2. (met.) To show.

پخش paḵẖsh P adj. 1. Pressed with the foot. 2. Extended, drawn out.

پارل pāral पाटल S̱. s. m. Name of a plant. (Bignonia chelonoides, or Bignonia suaveolens. Roxb.).
