پهونکنا phūnknā फुत्कार S̱. v. a. To blow with the breath; to blow up (a fire, &c.), inflame, set on fire, kindle, to blow (a horn, trumpet, &c.).

پـﮩنئي pahunaʼī प्राघुणता S̱. s. f. Hospitality, entertainment. S̱. پهني फणी phaṇ-ī, s. m. 1. A serpent. 2. A wedge.

پرهيزگار parhez-gār P adj. and subst. Abstinent, one who controls his passions, continent, abste- mious, sober.

پارس پيپل pāras-pīpal पार्श्वपिप्पल S̱. s. m. The name of a tree. (Hibiscus populneoides. Roxb.). S.P. پارسي pārsī (Sans. पारसी) s. m. A Per- sian, the Persian language.

پيرانه pīrāna P adj. 1. Elderly, like an old man, growing old. 2. Belonging to, connected with, or worthy of a saint.

پچهوري pichhaurī H s. f. Dimin. of پچهورا pich- haurā, q. v.

پوپني popnī H s. f. 1. A wind instrument (of musick) made by children, of the seeds of mango and the leaves of the Borassus. 2. Any wind instrument. H.S̱. پوپهٿنا po-phaṭnā (see پوه poh) v. n. To dawn, to be break of day.

پنچايتي panchāyatī पंचता S̱. s. f. 1. Same as پنچايت panchāyat, q. v. 2. Relationship.
