پرال parāl पलाल S̱. s. f. Straw. See پوال. S. پرالبده प्रालब्ध (from प्र, आ and r. लभ Gain) prālabdh, s. f. Fortune, fate, lot, destiny, pre- destination, venture, chance. S. پراموش परामर्ष (from परा and r. मृष Bear, pardon) parāmarsh̤, s. m. Counsel, advice, consideration, reflection.

پي جانا pī-jānā S̱. v. a. 1. To drink or to be drunk. 2. To absorb. 3. To stifle oneʼs pas- sions. 4. To refrain from answering.

پاٿا pāṭā पट्ट S̱. s. m. A plank on which washer- men beat clothes.

پرتو partau P s. m. Light, rays, sunbeams, moon- beams. (Sans. प्रताप).

پهاٿنا phāṭnā स्पटन S̱. v. n. To be torn, to be broken, split, rent, torn asunder, &c.

پهلوري phulaurī फुल्लवटी S̱. s. f. Bread or cake made of fruit and pulse, and fried in ghī or oil.

پگڙي pagṛī H s. f. A turband. پگڙي اٿکنا pagṛī aṭaknā, To be obstinate, to persist or persevere. پگڙي چهپٿنا pagṛī chhapaṭnā, To practise de- ceit, to act treacherously.

پاگا pāgā H s. m. A troop of horse (among Ma- hārāttas), a stud.

پلو pillū पुलक S̱. s. m. A worm.
