پٿيما patīmā S̱. (from पट्ट) s. m. The planks on which cloth is spread for printing.

پگها paghā H s. m. The same as پگا q. v.

پرم परम param S adj. Best, most excellent, chief, principal, first, supreme. پرمارتهـ para- mārth (from ارتهـ Meaning, intention) s. m. The first pursuit, the best end, virtue, merit. پرمارتهي paramārth-ī, adj. Religious, seeking the best end, virtuous. پرمانند param-ānand, Great plea- sure. پرم پد param-pad, s. m. Heaven or beati- tude. پرم دهام param-dhām, s. m. Paradise. پرم گت param-gati, s. f. Eternal felicity, hea- venly bliss.

پنگهٿ panghaṭ S̱. (पानीय Water, and घट्ट A quay or landing place) s. m. A passage to a river, a stair or quay for drawing water.

پهانسا phāṅsā S̱. (पाश) s. m. 1. A noose. 2. An impediment.

پليدي palīd-ī P vulg. pilīd-ī, s. f. Uncleanness.

پڙهن paṛhin H s. f. A mullet.

پيلنا pelnā पेलन S̱. v. a. 1. To shove, to push. 2. To stuff, to cram. 3. To express, to squeeze out. پيل پال pel-pāl, part. Shoving, pushing, &c.

پتاٴي putāʼī H (from پوتنا) s. f. 1. The act of plastering. 2. Price paid for plastering.

پکهروٿا pakhrauṭā H s. m. A bit of gold or silver leaf covering a bīṛā or mouthful of betel.
