براز barāz A properly birāz, s. m. 1. Stool, mo- tion, excrement, feces. 2. Fighting.

بنتا वनिता banitā S or vanitā, s. f. A wife, a woman.

بوجهـ bojh H s. m. A load, burthen. بوجهـ پکڙنا bojh pakaṛnā, To affect consequence or to give oneʼs self airs (generally spoken in raillery). بوجهـ سرپرهونا bojh sir par honā, is applied to a task the performance of which is become in- dispensable.

بنا binā S (विना) adv. Without, except, un- less, not. بن جاني bin-jāne, With- out knowing, unwittingly. بن داني پاني bin dāne pānī, Without eating and drinking. بن ماري شهيدهونا bin māre shahīd honā, or بن تيغ شهيدهونا bin teg̠ẖ shahīd honā, To be slain without a wound (are expressions applied to lovers). بن ماري توبه کرنا bin māre tauba karnā, To fear without a cause.

بانڐي bānḍī H s. f. A cudgel: a kind of dress.

بتيس batīs H or battīs, adj. Thirty-two.

بياسي byāsī S̱. (द्व्यशीति) adj. Eighty two.

بهنگ bhang भंगा S̱. s. f. Hemp. See بهانگ.

برانا barrānā S̱. (seeبڙبڙانا ) v. a. To talk in oneʼs sleep or in a delirium.

بقر baḳar A s. m. (Heb. ) A bull. بقرعيد baḳar- īﻌd, A festival held in commemoration of Abra- hamʼs offering to sacrifice his son, Ismāʼīl (agree- able to Muhammadans, and not Isʼhāk). P.A. بقسميه ba-ḳasm-īya, On oath, by oath.
