بهوکنا bhoknā H v. a. (dakh.) See بهونکنا bhonknā, and چبهانا chubhānā.

بتاونا butāʼonā H v. a. To extinguish. See بجهانا

بورا borā H s. m. 1. A canvas bag (particularly, for holding about two maunds of rice), a sack. 2. A kind of bean like French beans. (Dolichos catsang).

بدلا badlā A. s. m. Exchange, lieu, stead, a sub- stitute, recompense, revenge, requital. بدلالينا badlā lenā, v. a. 1. To alter. 2. To retaliate, take revenge. بدلي badle, In exchange, in re- turn for. A. H. بدلانا badlānā (caus. of بدلنا) v. a. To cause to alter, to change. A. H. بدلائي badlāʼī, s. f. Price of exchange. A. H. بدلنا badal-nā, v. a. To change, exchange, alter.

بديادهر विद्याधर bidyādhar S or vidyā-dhara, s. m. A sort of demi-god or attendant in the celestial courts. (The Vidyādharas dance be- fore the assembled deities in Indraʼs heaven).

بانسي bāṅsī वंशी S̱. 1. s. f. Flute, fife, pipe. 2. adj. Made of bamboo.

بيراگا bairāgā S̱. (from वैरागी) s. m. A small crooked stick, which a bairāgī places under his arm-pit to lean upon as he sits.

بلانا billānā H v. n. To weep or complain from grief or pain. See بلبلانا bilbilānā.

بهنگن bhangan भंगिनी S̱. s. f. A female drink- er of bhang.
