بده बुद्ध budh S s. m. 1. A wise or learned man, a sage. 2. The planet Mercury. 3. Wed- nesday. ¶ बुद्ध buddha, The ninth avatār or Hindū incarnation.

بکواد bak-wād S̱. (بک Prattle, and वाद Dispute) s. f. Prattle, foolish talk.

بٿوا baṭūʼā S̱. (r. वट Surround, envelope) s. m. 1. A purse, a small bag (generally used for holding betel-nut, &c.). 2. A brass vessel in which Hindūs dress their food.

بڙ baṛ S̱. 1. (for वट) s. m. The Bengal fig-tree. (Ficus Bengalensis or Indica). 2. in compos. a contraction of بڙا Great; as, بڙبولا baṛ-bolā, A noisy talkative person; بڙبهکوا baṛ-bhakūʼā, A blockhead; بڙپيٿا baṛ-peṭā, adj. Big-bellied; a great eater; greedy, avaricious.

بامهن bāmhan S̱. (see براهمن) s. m. A Brahman.
