ببور babūr S̱. (वर्वुर) s. f. The name of a tree of the Mimosa kind. (There are several species, but the commonest is Arabica. Roxb.) The acacia tree.

بـﮩتات bahutāt बहुता S̱. s. f. Excess, abun- dance. See بـﮩتايت bahutāyat.

بکنا biknā S̱. (from विक्रय Sale, or वि and r. क्री Buy) v. n. To be sold, to sell. بک جانا bik-jānā (met.) To be dependant on, to be obliged.

بنانا banānā H (trans. of بننا) v. a. To make, pre- pare, form, fashion, shape, to do, fabricate, build, compose, perform, to make to agree, to adjust, adorn, reconcile, to pluck (a fowl), to dress (vic- tuals), to mend, repair, invent, rectify, mock, feign. H. S̱. بن آنا ban-ānā, v. n. To be performed or ef- fected, to succeed, to be fortunate, to prosper.

بهدرا भद्रा bhadrā S s .f. 1. An unlucky moment. 2. The 2d, 7th, and 12th days of the lunar month.

باٿکا वाटिका bāṭikā S s. m. A villa.

بچارا bichārā P. adj. See بچاره bichāra.

بسيار bisyār P adj. Many, much, very, abundant.

بيٿهکا baiṭhka S̱. s. m. 1. A seat, a place where people meet to sit and converse, a bench. 2. s. f. (from بيٿهنا) Act or state of sitting, sitting. 3. A kind of exercise.

بيـﮩ‍لا behlā P. (Pers. بيله) s. m. Money carried by great men to be distributed in charity when tra- velling, &c. بيـ‍ﮩ‍لابردار behlā-bardār, The car- rier of the بيـﮩ‍لا. See p. بيلا.
