بامهن bāmhan S̱. (see براهمن) s. m. A Brahman.

بوجهنا būjhnā S̱. (r. बुध Understand) v. a. To un- derstand, to comprehend, to think. بوجهـ لينا būjh lenā (at cards) To settle the account of gain and loss. بوجهکي būjh-ke, Wittingly.

بيچنا bechnā S̱. (see بينچنا) v. a. To sell.

بنمانس ban-mānus S (वन A forest, and मानुष A man) s. m. A man of the woods, a wild man, an orang-ūtan.

برد burd H s. f. A term used at chess when the king only, on one side, remains on the board; (hence, also) an opportunity of making some acquisition.

ب ba P prep. (often prefixed to another word, but, when standing alone, written به) With, by, for, in, into, to, up to, on, upon. S̱. ب (ब) ba, may stand for برن (वरुण) baruṇ, The god of water. It may, also, denote Sun, ocean, or water.

بهشٿل bhishṭal H s. f. A foolish or stupid woman.

بيت الحرام baitu-l-ḥarām A s. m. (Sacred house) The temple of Mecca.

باندا bāndā वंदा S̱. s. m. A parasite plant which grows on trees. (Epidendrum, particu- larly tesselatum. Roxb.). S̱. P. باندار bān-dār, s. m. A rocket-thrower.

بهاگابهاگ bhāgā-bhāg H s. m. Flight, running away.
