برن سنکر barn-sankar S̱. (or varṇa-sankara वर्ण संकर) s. m. A person of a tribe originating in the intercourse of a man of one tribe with a woman of another.

بيل بوٿا bel-būṭā S̱. s. m. A shrub, bush or creeper; flowers (on cloth).

بغدا bug̠ẖdā P s. m. A cleaver used by cooks or butchers, a knife, chopping-knife.

بانا bānā S̱. s. m. 1. (वर्ण Colour, class) Habit, profession. 2. Fashion in dress, peculiar to in- dividuals or to bodies taken individually (so, regimentals may be called bānā); uniformity. 3. A kind of weapon. 4. A veil. 5. (वाणि Weaving) The woof in weaving. باناباندهنا bānā bāndhnā, To be ready, to be determined.

بخش baḵẖsh P 1. part. act. (from بخشيدن) in compos. Giving, imparting, bestowing, forgiving; giver, forgiver. 2. s. m. Share, portion, lot, forgiveness. بخش دينا baḵẖsh denā, To give, to bestow, to forgive. P.H. بخشانا baḵẖshānā (caus. of بخشنا) v. a. To cause to give, to procure pardon for another.

بچهـ bachh वत्स S̱. s. m. A calf. See بچهرا.

بيت السقر baitu-s-saḳar A s. m. The infernal abode, hell.

بسوکرما biswakarmā S (विश्वकर्मा i. e. विश्व Universe, and कर्मा Work, act) s. m. The arti- ficer of the gods, the Indian vulcan.

بـﮩبودي bih-būd-ī P s. f. Health, vigour, well being, welfare.

بلوغ bulūg̠ẖ A s. m. Puberty, adolescence.
