بره birah S (विरह from वि and r. रह Leave, quit) s. m. Separation, parting, absence, espe- cially the separation of lovers.

بهدبهدانا bhadbhadānā H v. a. 1. To make a sound by striking two bodies together. 2. To strike repeatedly.

برنن वर्णन barnan S or varṇan, s. m. Descrip- tion, recital, explanation, praise. برنن کرنا bar- nan karnā, To explain, describe, extol, praise.

بوکرا bokrā वर्कर S̱. s. m. A he goat.

بکچي bakchī वाकुची S̱. s. f. Name of a plant the seed of which is used to cure the itch. (Co- nyza or Serratula anthelmintica).

بستاني bustān-ī P adj. Of the flowergarden.

بان bān A s. m. 1. Name of a tree, سهجنا sahaj- nā (Guilandina moringa) the seeds of which are called ḥabbu-l-bān, Ben-nut; or, according to some, بکاين bakāyan (Melia sempervirens). 2. Name of the tree which yields Benzoin (Styrax Benzoe). 3. A tree, the leaves and flowers of which are sweet-scented, called by the Persians Bed-mushk.

بهيٿو bheṭū H s. m. A stalk, a stem. See بونٿ.

بـﮩ‍لانا‍‍‍ bahlānā H (trans. of بـﮩلنا) v. a. To divert, to amuse, to recreate.

بدل baddal S̱. (for بادل q. v.) s. m. A cloud.
