بشاشت bashāshat A s. f. Cheerfulness, alacrity.

بکتا baktā S (वक्ता r. वच Speak) 1. s. m. A speaker in general. 2. adj. Eloquent, loqua- cious, talkative.

بسوي biswī S̱. (from विश्व) adj. Worldly, re- lating to the world.

بيـﮩودگي behūda-gī P s. f. Absurdity, nonsense, vanity, unprofitableness.

بڙهيلا baṛhelā S̱. s. m. A wild hog. See بنيلا.

برهمچاري ब्रह्मचारी brahmachārī S s. m. A re- ligious student, a Brāhmaṇ from the time of his investiture with the sacerdotal thread till he becomes a householder, a person who continues with his spiritual teacher studying the Veda, a Panḍit learned in the Veda, an ascetick.

بذله baẕla A s. m. A jest, raillery. P. A. بذوق ba-ẕauḳ, With taste or pleasure.

بهدرهونا bhadr honā S̱. v. n. To be clean or pu- rified by shaving oneʼs head and beard after mourning or in a holy place.

برده biruddha S (विरुद्ध) adj. Opposite, opposed to, contrary to, against.

بستا bastā P. s. m. The cloth in which a bundle is tied up, wrapper, a bundle.
