بتهرانا bithrānā S̱. v. a. To scatter, to sprinkle.

بـﮩليا bahaliyā H s. m. A kind of servant armed with bow, arrow, &c., a huntsman. See بـﮩيليا.

بزن bi-zan P imper. of the verb زدن Strike. ¶ bazan, s. A harrow or instrument for levelling ploughed land.

بارا bārā S s. m. A boy: see بالا bālā. S̱.P. بارادري bārā-darī, s. f. A summer house. See باره دري bārah-dar-ī, under باره.

بيس bais S̱. s. m. 1. (for वैश्य) The third of the four Hindū tribes or varns: see برن. 2. Name of a tribe of Rājpūts. (A prince of that tribe formerly reigned at Daunriākherā. His dominions, which extended over a great part of Oude, on the north bank of the Ganges, are still called Bais-wāṛā). 3. (for वयस्) Age.

بسيستا bisestā विशेषता S̱. s. f. Abundance.

برهمچاري ब्रह्मचारी brahmachārī S s. m. A re- ligious student, a Brāhmaṇ from the time of his investiture with the sacerdotal thread till he becomes a householder, a person who continues with his spiritual teacher studying the Veda, a Panḍit learned in the Veda, an ascetick.

بوبا bobā H s. m. 1. Goods and chattels, proper- ty. 2. A bundle.
