اشرف ashraf A adj. compar. (of شریف) More or most noble, most eminent. s. m. A gentleman, a person of noble birth, a nobleman. اشرف المخلوقات ashrafu-l-maḵẖlūḳāt, The most excel- lent of created beings; mankind. اشرف المکانات ashrafu-l-makānāt, The most eminent of places.

انگشت angusht P s. f. A finger. انگشت حیرت دانتون مین رکهنا angusht-i-ḥairat dāntoṅ meṅ rakhnā, To bite the finger, or place it between the teeth to express surprise. انگشت نر an- gusht-i-nar, The thumb, the great toe. انگشت شہادت angusht-i-shahādat, The forefinger.

اکمه akmah A adj. Blind from birth, blind.

اغماض ig̠ẖmāẓ A (inf. iv. of غمض) s. m. Dissi- mulation, connivance, superciliousness, ogling, coquetry. اغماض کرنا ig̠ẖmāẓ karnā, To wink or connive at. A. H. اغماضي ig̠ẖmāẓ-ī, s. f. See اغماض ig̠ẖmāẓ.

اچکري achkarī H s. f. Wantonness, lasciviousness, wickedness.

اپما उपमा उप and r. मा Measure upa-mā S. s. f. A resemblance, comparison, simile, that thing to which another is likened.

آٿهہ āṭh अष्ट S̱. adj. Eight. آٿهہ آٿهہ آنسورونا āṭh āṭh āṅsū ronā, To shed floods of tears, to weep exceedingly. آٿهہ پہر āth pahar, All the twenty-four hours; constantly. آٿهہ کهنبا āṭh khambā, A canopy supported by eight posts.
