اجناس ajnās A s. f. plur. (of جنس) 1. Kinds, sorts, species. 2. Goods, chattels, merchandise.

اندام andām P s. m. Body, stature, figure. اندام نہاني andām-i-nihānī, The private parts.

ابهارنا ubhār-nā S̱. v. a. To plump up, to raise up, to excite, to persuade.

از az P prep. From, of, than, by, with. ازآنجمله az ān-jumla, Of that number. ازبس az bas, From the abundance, sufficiently, notwithstanding, although. ازخود رفته az ḵẖụd rafta or از خویش رفته az ḵẖẉesh rafta, Absent in mind, out of mind, distracted. از خود رفتگي az ḵẖụd raf- tagī, Departure from oneʼs self, distraction of mind. از خود شدن az ḵẖụd shudan, To be out of oneʼs self, the being out of oneʼs mind. ازراه az rāh, By the way. ازسرنو az sar-i-nau, Anew, afresh. It may, also, be prefixed to Persian words beginning with a vowel; as, ازان az-ān, From that; ازین az-īn, From this.

ابرودهي a-birodh-ī S (अविरोधी) m. adj. Quiet, tranquil.

آنک आनक ānak S s. m. A large military drum beaten at one end, a kettledrum.

آڙا āṛā H adj. Oblique, crooked, across, athwart, cross, transverse.

اشیب अशीति ashīti S adj. Eighty.

آزاري āzār-ī P adj. Sick, a sick person.

اکسیر iksīr A (or aksīr) s. f. A powder or mix- ture pretended to be capable of converting other metals to gold or silver; the philosopherʼs stone, an elixir; alchymy, chymistry.
