امین āmīn A or amīn, adv. Amen, so be it.

ان مان अनुमान अनु and r. मा Measure anu-mān S. s. f. Inference, guess, hypothesis.

اجن अजिन ajin S s. m. A hide used as a seat, bed, &c. by the religious student; generally the hide of an antelope.

اچرنگ uchrang H s. m. A moth.

التزام iltizām A (inf. viii. of لزم) s. m. Being necessary or expedient, being assiduous, taking on oneʼs self.

آرتا ārtā आरात्रिक S̱. s. m. A ceremony attending marriage. When the bridegroom first comes to the house of the bride, he is received by her relations, who present to him, and move circularly round his head, a platter painted and divided into several compartments; in the middle of which is a lamp made of flour, filled with ghī and having several wicks lighted.

اتهوا अथ Now, &c. and वा Or atha-vā S. conj. Or. S. اتي इति (r. इ Go) itī, a particle implying Cause, manifestation, reference, something ad- ditional, conclusion: and may be translated by Thus therefore, lo, behold, et cetera, so says, finis, the end; in which latter sense it is usually written like زیاده چه in Persian and تم in Arabic, at the end of a book, letter, &c.

ادمرا ad-marā S̱. adj. Half-dead.

آنجنا ānjnā S̱. (trans. of انجنا anjnā) v. a. To tinge the eyes with انجن anjan.
