استخلاص istiḵẖlāṣ A (inf. x. of خلص Heb. Was free, separated) s. m. Seeking to liberate; liberation, liberty, freedom.

آب دهن āb-i-dahan P s. Water of the mouth; spittle.

التهنا ulathnā H v. n. To undulate, to be agi- tated (as the ocean by storms).

اشہاد ishʼhād A (inf. iv. of شہادت) s. m. Ta- king to witness, bringing proof.

اچان uchchān S̱. (from उच्च) s. f. Height.

اخوان iḵẖwān A s. plur. (of اج aḵẖ) Brothers. اخوان زمان iḵẖwān-i-zamān, Contemporaries, people of the same religion.

اتهان उत्थान ut-thān S s. Effort, rising up, manly exertion, battle, joy. उत्थान एकादशी utthān ekādasī, or देवठान devaṭhān, The eleventh of the sukl paksh̤ of Kārtik, when Vishnu awakes from sleep. (During the four months that he sleeps it is unlawful to marry).

اجوڙ अ and जोड Junction a-joṛ S. adj. With- out joining; peerless, scarce.

آخرت āḵẖirat A s. f. Futurity, a future state, the world to come. A. P. آخرش āḵẖirash, adv. At the end of it, at last, finally, after all. A. P. آخرشب āḵẖir-i-shab, s. The end of the night, before dawn.

آقا āḳā P s. m. Master, owner. (Turk. آغا).
