هچکنا hichaknā H v. n. To draw back from, to decline, to shrink, to waver, boggle. ¶ دانتان هچکنا dāntān hichaknā (dakh.) To grin (Harris).

هرج harj A (Heb. and Aram. ) s. m. Tumult, sedition, confusion, trouble, loss, interruption. هرج مرج harj marj, s. m. Confusion, tumult, agitation, trouble, bustle, hurlyburly.

هريسه harīsa P s. m. A kind of thick pottage, made of bruised wheat boiled to a consistency; to which they add meat, butter, cinnamon, and aromatick herbs.

هلاک halāk A (from هلک) s. m. Perdition, de- struction, ruin, slaughter, death. adj. Lost, destroyed, fatigued. هلاک کرنا halāk karnā, To destroy, to overwhelm, to drive to destruc- tion, to distress, to fatigue, to kill. هلاک هونا halāk honā, To be killed, to perish, to be fa- tigued, to be tired.

هبه hiba A (from وهب Heb. and Aram. ) s. m. A gift, a bequest. هبه نامه hiba-nāma, A deed of gift. هبه کرنا hiba karnā, To bequeath or devise.
