هلبلانا halbalānā H (corrupt. from هڙبڙانا) v. n. To hurry, to be confused.

هبڙا habṛā H adj. Ill shaped, clumsy.

هتهوڙا hath-oṛā S̱. s. m. A sledge-hammer.

هجو hajo A (analog. to Heb. and Aram. ) s. f. Satire, a lampoon, a pasquinade. هجومليح hajo-malīḥ, f. Apparent praise but real satire, irony.

هار hār H (in compos.) means the performer of any act, and corresponds frequently to the English terminations er or ing; as, بہارآٴي نه ديکهن هارآيا انارآيا نه چاکهن هارآيا Bahār āʼī na dekhan-hār āyā; anār āyā, na chākhan-hār āyā. The spring is arrived, but no one is come to behold it; the pomegranates are ready, but there is no one to taste them. P. S. هار hār, 1. s. m. (s. हार) A necklace of pearls, &c. a wreath, a chaplet (of flowers, worn as a necklace). 2. (for हारि) A flock (of cattle). 3. Pasturage. 4. s. f. Loss, for- feiture, discomfiture. 5. part. act. (from هارنا) Being overcome. هارماننا يا مان لينا hār-mānnā, or -mān lenā, To give up a dispute, to give up in despair, to acknowledge all lost. هارجيت hār jīt, Gambling, hazard. هار جيت کرنا hār jīt karnā, To gamble.

هارنا hārnā हारण S̱. v. n. To be overcome, to be unsuccessful, to lose (in play), to be tired out. v. a. To lose. بچن هارنا bachan hārnā, To promise.

هتهکهنڐا hath-khanḍā S̱. s. m. Habit, custom, knack.

هڙکا huṛḳā हुडुक्क S̱. s. m. Bar of a door.

هميني himenī P. s. f. (dakh.) Purse: see همياني hamyānī.

هارا hārā H (in compos.) denotes the performer of any act, dealer in any article. It is often represented in English by the word man, or the termination er; as لکڙهارا lakaṛ-hārā, A wood- man. مارني هارا mārne-hārā, A striker.
