Denotes (in compos.) agent, doer, keeper, man, inhabitant, master, lord, possessor, owner; as, رکهوال يا والا raḵẖ-wāl, or -wālā, A keeper; ناووالا nāw-wālā, Boatman; دلي وال يا والا dillī-wāl, or -wālā, In- habitant of Dillī; گهروالا ghar-wālā, Master or keeper of a house; لکهني والا likhne-wālā, Writer; هوني والا hone-wālā, Becoming, about to be.
