واله wāla H s. m. (dakh.) occasionally for والا wālā, Agent, doer, master, possessor, &c. q. v.

وداع widāﻌ A (prop. wadāﻌ from ودع) s. m. Fare- well, adieu, bidding farewell. وداع کرنا widāﻌ karnā, To bid farewell or adieu, to dismiss. A. P. وداعي widāʼīﻌ, adj. Bidding farewell (a person).

ولتهي walthī H s. f. (dakh. i. q. کناره سايبان) Hem or border of a canopy? eaves of a house.

واقع wāḳiﻌ A part. act. (of وقع Heb. ) Be- falling, happening, occurring, arriving, appearing; situate. Plur. واقعات wāḳiʼāﻌt, s. f. Ac- cidents, events, occurrences, intelligence. واقع مين wāḳiﻌ meṅ, In fact, really.

وارنا wārnā H v. a. 1. To surround, to encircle, to go round. 2. To offer (in sacrifice, &c.). واري پهيري هونا wārī pherī honā, To go round any body (as a sign of being an offering or sa- crifice for his welfare), to devote oneʼs self for any one. (A practice chiefly of women).
