واسوخته wā-soḵẖta P adj. Inflamed, impassioned.

وديعت wadīʼaﻌt A (from ودع) s. f. Deposit, trust. وديعت حيات wadīʼaﻌt-i-ḥayāt, Death, depositing oneʼs life.

ولا walā A (or wilā, from ولي) s. f. 1. Govern- ment, sway, kingdom. 2. Nearness, affinity, friendship.

وقت waḳt A s. m. Time, season, opportunity. (met.) Adversity. Plur. اوقات auḳāt, s. f. Times, &c. وقت بوقت waḳt ba-waḳt, From time to time. وقت بيوقت waḳt be-waḳt, In season or out of season, a time that admits not of delay, constantly, perpetually. وقت پر waḳt par, At (proper) time, seasonably, betimes. وقت پڙنا waḳt paṛnā, To suffer misfortunes, to be distressed. وقت کاٿنا waḳt kāṭnā, To pass away the time. وقت کي وقت waḳt ke waḳt, At all times. وقت نازک waḳt-i-nāzuk, Deli- cate times. وقت نا وقت waḳt nā waḳt, Occa- sionally, without any stated time. وقت ياب waḳt-yāb, Finding an opportunity.

واشد wā-shud P s. f. Opening, expansion, disper- sion or vanishing (of sorrow, &c.), deliverance.

وضاعت waẓāʼaﻌt A (from وضع) s. f. Humility, humiliation.

وررهنا war rahnā H v. n. To be victorious, to have the advantage, to gain.

ويش वेष vesh̤ S s. m. Ornament, dress, deco- ration.

واز wāz P adj. or adv. Open, back, again.

وادي wādī A (from ودي or rather Heb. To divide, spread, expand) s. f. 1. A valley, vale, any low ground. 2. The channel of a river. 3. A river. 4. A desert.
