نضج nuẓj A (or naẓj) s. m. Ripening, cooking; suppuration (of a wound).

نقش naḳsh A s. m. Painting, embroidering, print, impression, mark, engraving, carving, picture, drawing, delineation, map, portrait. نقش بند naḳsh-band, part. Creating, imagining; creator, imaginer, embroiderer, painter. نقش پا naḳsh-i-pā, Footstep. نقش ديوار naḳsh-i-dīwār, Thun- derstruck, confounded so as to appear like a picture on the wall. نقش کالحجر naḳsh ka-l-ḥajar, or more properly کالنقش في الحجر ka-n- naḳsh fi-l-ḥajar (lit. Like an engraving in stone) Indelible. نقش کرنا naḳsh-karnā, To imprint, impress, engrave, stamp. نقشا بندي naḳsh-ā- bandī, s. A sort of faḳīr. (Qanoon-e-islam).

نچوڙ nichoṛ H s. m. 1. The end or termination of any affair. 2. The burthen, or that on which any thing depends.

نار nār H s. m. 1. A herd, drove. 2. Counsel, advice.

نغز nag̠ẖz P adj. Beautiful, good, excellent, sincere, swift, nimble.

نانگرنا nāṅgar-nā S̱. v. a. (dakh.) To plough. (Harris).

نايب nāʼịb A (part. act. of نوب Heb. and Aram. ) s. m. A deputy, delegate, vicegerent, at- torney. نايب مناب nāʼịb manāb, A vicege- rent, a locum tenens, a successor. A. P. نايبي nāʼịb-ī, s. (dakh.) Deputyship, vice- gerency, agency, delegation. S̱. H. نايچ nā-īch, adv. (dakh.) Not, no: see نـﮩين nahīṅ.

نہاروا nahārūʼā H s. m. A guinea worm. (Filaria medinensis).

ناقص nāḳiṣ A (part. act. of نقص) adj. Defective, imperfect, deficient, mutilated, inexpert. ناقص عقل nāḳiṣ-aﻌḳl, adj. Deficient in understanding, foolish, ignorant. ناقص کرنا nāḳiṣ karnā, To mutilate. ناقص هونا nāḳiṣ honā, To want, to fail.

نشات nashāt A (prop. nashāʼat from نشا Heb. ) s. f. 1. A creature. 2. Any thing pro- duced or growing. 3. Appearing, growing. نشاٴتين nashātain, Both worlds.
