نبوت nubūwat A (from نبأ Heb. and Aram. ) s. f. Prophecy.

نساٴي nisāʼī A adj. Of women.

نڙي naṛī S̱. s. (dakh.) A sort of fireworks, rockets without sticks which run upon the ground. (Qanoon-e-islam).

نہورا nihorā H s. m. 1. Favour, obligation, kindness. 2. Begging, requesting humbly, coaxing.

نليا nal-iyā S̱. s. m. Name of a cast, whose em- ployment is to catch birds with quicklime by means of the نل nal, q. v.

نصيب naṣīb A (from نصب Heb. and Aram. ) s. m. Fortune, lot, luck, chance, portion, part, fate, destiny. (In Hindūstānī this word is often constructed as a plural). نصيب لڙني na- ṣīb laṛne, 1. To be competitor for any thing. 2. (lit. fortune fighting for one) The commence- ment of prosperity, to be greatly favoured by fortune (after adversity). نصيب جگنا naṣīb jagnā, To be fortunate.

نواخته nawāḵẖta P (part. pass. of نواختن) adj. Protected, reared, cherished.

نيوشنده niyūsh-anda P part. act. Hearer, lis- tener.
