نمام nammām A (adj. superl. of نمّ) s. m. Ca- lumniator, accuser.

ناٿا nāṭā H adj. Dwarf, dwarfish, dapper, short.

نار nār S̱. (for नारी) s. f. A woman. (for नाल) s. m. 1. Barrel of a gun. 2. The fibre of which rope is made. 3. The stalk of the lotus. 4. The neck.

نور nūr A s. m. Light, splendour. نورافزا nūr- afzā, adj. Light-increasing, illuminating. نورجانامنہہ کا nūr jānā muṅh kā, Paleness of the face. نورچشم nūr-i-chashm or نورديده nūr-i-dīda, s. m. Light of the eyes; a son. نورکي تڙکي nūr ke taṛke, At the break of day. نورعينين nūr-i-aﻌinain, Light of both eyes.

نچوانا nuchwānā H (caus. of نوچنا) v. a. To cause to pinch or to pluck out, &c.

نکسنا nikasnā S̱. v. n. To issue. See نکلنا.

نهاٿو nhāṭū H (from نهاٿنا) s. (dakh.) Runaway, deserter, fugitive (Harris).

نڐهال niḍhāl S̱. (निर् prep. and दोल What swings) adj. Still, motionless.

نريٿ nareṭ H s. m. Throat, windpipe. نريٿي دبانا nareṭī dabānā, To throttle.

نفاس nafās A prop. nifās (from نفس) s. m. 1. Childbirth, labour, bringing forth. 2. The forty days of a woman after childbirth.
