نوار niwār H s. f. Tape (of a coarse kind). نوار باف niwār-bāf, A tape-weaver.

نگ नग nag S s. m. 1. A mountain. 2. The stone of a ring or a stone on which a name, &c. is cut, a jewel, gem, precious stone.

نصيب naṣīb A (from نصب Heb. and Aram. ) s. m. Fortune, lot, luck, chance, portion, part, fate, destiny. (In Hindūstānī this word is often constructed as a plural). نصيب لڙني na- ṣīb laṛne, 1. To be competitor for any thing. 2. (lit. fortune fighting for one) The commence- ment of prosperity, to be greatly favoured by fortune (after adversity). نصيب جگنا naṣīb jagnā, To be fortunate.

نربيج nir-bīj S (निर् prep. and वीज Seed) adj. 1. Without seed, childless. 2. Extinct (a race or family). S. نرپ नृप (comp. of नृ Man, and part. act. from r. पा Preserve) nr̤ip or nr̤ipa, s. m. A king, a prince.

نسواس निःश्वास ni-swās S s. m. Breath.

نتايج natāʼịj A m. plur. (of نتيجه) Results, consequences, issues, &c.

نماي numāʼe P part. act. (from نمودن) in com- pos. Showing, exhibiting, appearing.
