نيفا nefā P. (prop. نيفه) s. m. A breeches belt, the part of the drawers through which the string runs to tie them round the loins with.

نيچا nīchā S̱. (see نيچ) adj. Below, down, low. نيچا اونچا nīchā ūnchā, Up and down, uneven ground, abrupt. نيچي سرون سي بولنا nīche su- roṅ se bolnā, To sing with a low voice, or hum a tune. (Jocosè autem crepitus ventris hâcce voce subintelligitur).

نيت nīyat A (from نوي) s. f. Intention, design, will, purpose, desire, wish, aim.

نجف najaf A s. m. 1. High ground to which water does not reach. 2. Name of a place in which is the tomb of Aﻌlī.

نگاهداشت nigāh-dāsht P s. Enlistment, enlisting. نگاهداشت کرنا nigāh-dāsht karnā, To enlist.

نہان nihān P adj. Latent, hid, concealed, clan- destine.

نيزه neza P s. m. 1. A spear, lance, javelin, dart, pike. 2. A piece of reed from which pens are made. نيزه باز neza-bāz, Playing with a spear, a spearman. نيزه بازي neza-bāz-ī, s. f. Throwing the spear, tilting. نيزي بردار neze-bardār, A spearman. نيزي دار neze-dār, Armed with a spear.
