نيمب nīmb निंब S̱. s. m. Name of a tree. (Melia azedirachta).

نري narī H s. f. 1. A kind of leather, skin. 2. A weaverʼs shuttle.

نيام niyām P s. m. 1. A sheath, scabbard, case. 2. A bandage for a broken limb. 3. The plough- tail or handle.

نارنجي nāranj-ī S̱. (Sans. नारंगीय) adj. Orange-coloured.

نوارنا nawārnā H v. n. 1. To travel, to walk, to wander, to stray. 2. To go round, to surround.

نامزد nām-zad P adj. Destined, declared, ap- pointed, named; s. A betrothed damsel.

ناگ دونا nāg-daunā S̱. s. m. Name of a plant. (Artemisia vulgaris). See مروا marūʼā.

نيمه nīma P s. m. A garment like a jāma, but not so full at the breast, or with less cloth in the skirt. نيمه آستين nīma-āstīn, Half-sleeved, a particular kind of jacket. (It reaches to below the knee, is single-breasted, and fastened above by one button in the centre of the chest: it has short sleeves. Qanoon-e-islam). نيمه شام nīma-shām, Evening.

نہارنا nihārnā निहारण S̱. v. a. To look at, to regard, to watch, to look after, to spy, to see.

نپٿ nipaṭ H adv. Very, exceedingly.
