مدخل mudḵẖil A part. act. (IV. of دخل) In- troducing, entering. ¶ mudḵẖal, part. pass. Introduced, entered. ¶ madḵẖal, s. Place of entrance, income, entrance, revenue.

مستزاد mustazād A (part. pass. X. of زيد Heb. ) 1. adj. Increased. 2. s. m. The name of a kind of verse, in which every line has a shorter one annexed to it (as the following from Mīr Soz:-- سن سوزعبث ديکهکي حيران هوگا خوبان کا جمال دل زلف مين الجهيگا پريشان هوگا مت لي يہہ وبال يہہ چال بري هي تجهہ سي نبهنيکي نہين آمان کہا کياهنستاهي توبہت پشيمان هوگا مت دانت نکال Sun Soz! aﻌbas̤ dekhke, ḥairāṅ hogā, ḵẖūbāṅ kā jamāl; dil zulf meṅ uljhegā, pareshāṅ hogā, mat le yih wabāl. Yih chāl burī hai, tujh se nibhne kī nahīṅ, ā mān kahā; kyā haṅstā hai? tū bahut pashemāṅ hogā, mat dānt nikāl. Hear, Soz! by idly looking on the beauty of the fair thou wilt be involved in perplexity; thy heart will be entangled in their tresses and much distressed; do not encounter this trouble. This is a dangerous course, which thou canst not pursue with safety. Come then, listen to my words. Why laughest thou? Do not shew thy teeth, thou wilt surely repent).

مونگا mūngā H s. m. Coral.

ميتهل मैथिल maithal S or maithil, adj. An inhabitant of Mithilā or Tirhut.

مندان mandāṅ H s. m. (dakh.) Flock (of cat- tle), swarm, bevy, herd, drove, class, covey, hatch (of chickens, &c. Harris).

مرغباز murg̠ẖ-bāz P 1. A cock-fighter. 2. One who feeds cocks. (Plur. مرغبازان). A. P. مرغزار marg̠ẖ-zār (comp. of مرغ Pasture, meadow, and the particle زار) s. m. A place abounding in verdure or in pasture, a meadow.

مقدس muḳaddas A (part. pass. II. of قدس Heb. and Aram. ) adj. Holy, consecrated. بيت المقدس baitu-l-muḳaddas, Jerusalem. ¶ maḳdis (noun of place) A holy place.

مايوس māyūs A (part. pass. of ياس Heb. and Chald. ) adj. Desperate, hopeless.

منڐهپ manḍhap मंडप S̱. s. m. A small round temple or cell. See منڐب manḍap.

مونا mūnā S̱. (मरण see مرنا) v. n. To die.
