منمتهہ मन्मथ manmath S (मत् The heart, and r. मथ Agitate) s. m. A name of کام ديو kām- dew, q. v. the god of love.

مماني mumānī S̱. s. f. An aunt, motherʼs brotherʼs wife. See مامي māmī.

معترف muﻌtarif A part. act. (VIII. of عرف Heb. and Chald. ) Acknowledging; declarer, confessor, affirmer, avower.

مانجهـ mānjh S̱. s. m. 1. (for मध्य) The middle, in the middle, in. مانجهـ دهار mānjh-dhār, s. f. The midstream. See ماجهدهار mājh-dhār. 2. Name of a rāginī or musical mode. 3. A kind of verse.

منشي मनुषी manush̤-ī S s. f. A woman.

مـﮩاسا muhāsā S̱. (from मुख Face) s. m. A pimple (on the face in youth).

مولود maulūd A (part. pass. of ولد) 1. adj. Born, generated; a son. 2. s. m. Poetry chanted before the bier of a deceased person when carried out, burial-service. A. H. مولودي maulūd-ī, A person who chants before the bier of a corpse.

متعين mutaʼaﻌiyin A (part. act. V. from عين Heb. and Chald. ) adj. Appointed, fixed, consti- tuted, deputed, determined; s. m. Deputy, agent. متعين کرنا mutaʼaﻌiyin karna, To appoint, depute, &c.

مقدم muḳaddam A (part. pass. II. of قدم Heb. and Aram. ) adj. Antecedent, prior, pre- ceding; s. m. The advanced guard, a chief, a leader. مقدم جاننا muḳaddam jānnā, To prefer, to consider preferable (over). مقدم هونا mu- ḳaddam honā, To precede. ¶ maḳdam (noun of place or time) s. m. Arrival.
