اره arra P s. m. A saw. اره کش arra-kash, A sawyer. اره سرپرچلانا arra sir par chalānā, To oppress any one, to commit violence. سرپراري چل گئي تو بهي مدار مدار sir par arre chal gaʼe tau bhī madār madār, He has incurred punish- ment and disgrace, yet he has not reformed his manners.

انباري ambārī A. (Arab. عماري) s. f. A litter (used on an elephant or camel). انباري دار ambārī-dār, Having or bearing a litter.

اشتباهي ishtibāh-ī A adj. Suspicious, doubtful.

اهلاک ihlāk A (inf. iv. of هلک) s. Destruction, perdition.

آب خضر āb-i-ḵẖiẓr P s. The water of life: inspired knowledge.

ارزل arẕal A adj. compar. (of رذل) Very or most mean or ignoble.

آلود ālūd P contract. of آلوده ālūda, q. v.

آچار āchār H s. m. Pickles.

اتهوا अथ Now, &c. and वा Or atha-vā S. conj. Or. S. اتي इति (r. इ Go) itī, a particle implying Cause, manifestation, reference, something ad- ditional, conclusion: and may be translated by Thus therefore, lo, behold, et cetera, so says, finis, the end; in which latter sense it is usually written like زیاده چه in Persian and تم in Arabic, at the end of a book, letter, &c.
