مانس मानुष mānus S s. m. A human being, a man. मांस māṅs, s. m. Flesh, meat.

منجلي munjalī A (part. act. VII. of جلو Heb. ) adj. Conspicuous, apparent.

مجاورت mujāwarat A (inf. III. of جور) s. f. 1. Neighbourhood. 2. Constant attendance at temple, &c.

مکحل mikʼḥal A (noun of instrum. of کحل) s. m. The instrument with which collyrium is applied to the eyes.

مـﮩري muhrī P. 1. (corrupt. of موري) s. f. A drain, a gutter, aqueduct, conduit. 2. (from مـﮩر muhr) adj. Sealed. 3. mihr-ī, s. f. (1. in compos.) Friendship. (2.) A kind of guitar or harp.

مٿهاٴي miṭhā-ī S̱. s. f. 1. (मिष्ठान्न) A sweet- meat. 2. Sweetness. S̱. P. مٿهاٴي گر miṭhāʼī-gar, s. m. A maker of sweet- meats, confectioner.

ماما māmā P s. f. Mother. (Old women in ge- neral are so called).

مذکور maẕkūr A (part. pass. of ذکر) 1. adj. Fore- mentioned, aforesaid, said, mentioned, remem- bered. 2. s. m. Mention, discourse. مذکور کرنا maẕkūr karnā, To mention. Plur. مذکورات maẕkūrāt, Discourses, relations, matters men- tioned.

مينڐهل menḍhal H s. A fruit (Guilandina bon- duccella: Lin.) so called, filled with composi- tion (as a firework); when lighted it is thrown amidst the crowd. It bursts with an explosion. (Qanoon-e-islam).
